Summer Sounds 2025
Join us as we bring the library to life with our free live music series! Keep the good times rolling in the wake of the iconic St Kilda Festival, with a diverse line-up of talented musicians performing across St Kilda and Emerald Hill branches throughout February.
The Great Divides
Formed in regional Victoria and now based in Naarm/Melbourne, this idiosyncratic folk-rock group has crafted a unique sound blending rural roots with city chaos. Inspired by Smog, The Clean, and Crescent, their distinctive "jumble pop" reflects themes of isolation, vast landscapes, and the discord of urban life.
Their latest release, (I’m sure), partly recorded outdoors, is a tentative declaration of intent that they’ll find a way no matter the obstacle. Teetering towards falling apart and then exploding out in a cacophony of sound.
