How to

• Login to Spydus

  1. Open the Library login page
  2. Enter your current borrower number or username and password in the login box
  3. Select 'Login'

  If you need help logging in or resetting your password, please contact us.

• View your current loans

  1. Open the Library login page
  2. Enter your current username and password in the login box
  3. Select 'Login'
  4. Select 'My account' in the top right
  5. Select 'current loans' link from the Summary tab on page

• Renew items

  1. Open the Library login page
  2. Enter your current username and password in the login box
  3. Select 'Login'
  4. Select 'My account' in the top right
  5. Select 'current loans link from the Summary tab on page
  6. Select 'renew all' button, or tick each item you wish to renew and select 'Renew selected'

• Reserve items

  You can borrow from all our library branches, even if the items aren't located at your regular branch. Search the catalogue to make a reservation.

  Once reserved, the item will be sent when available to your preferred branch for collection.

  1. Open the Library login page
  2. Enter your current username and password in the login box
  3. Select 'Login'
  4. Locate an item you wish to reserve via keyword terms. For example, title, author or subject
  5. Select the item by selecting the title on the search results page. A page will open with further information on the item
  6. Select the Place Reserve button
  7. Your item is now reserved and you will be notified when it is available for collection from your chosen location

  Please note that reservations will be held for seven days. After this time, the item will be sent onto the next borrower, or be placed back on shelf.
