#OwnVoices Zine Launch from Writeability Goes Local

Join us for the launch of #OwnVoices, a zine by local writers with disability, created in our libraries.

Friday 15 November | 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm | St Kilda Library Community Room

A Special Celebration of Local Voices!

This November, we’re incredibly proud to invite you to a very special event at St Kilda Library – the launch of the #OwnVoices zine! This unique publication features stories, poetry, and songs created by seven talented local writers with disability, all as part of the Writeability Goes Local group who meet in our libraries each month.

These powerful voices have spent months coming together in our libraries to write, create, and share their experiences. Now, they’re ready to showcase their work in a salon-style reading that promises to be heartfelt and inspiring.

Light catering provided.

Come along and celebrate the creativity and strength of our community. Everyone’s welcome!

We are grateful to the Cultural Development Fund and Port Phillip City Council for making this project possible.

Everyone is welcome!
