FOGO Caddy Collection
Start recycling today!
Did you know that we provide FREE kitchen caddies to all our residents? These help you carry food waste to your food and garden organics (FOGO) bin – or to one of our communal FOGO hubs.
You can collect a caddy and a complimentary roll of compostable caddy liners from any of our five libraries: Albert Park, Emerald Hill, Middle Park, Port Melbourne and St Kilda. If you have accessibility requirements that prevent you from visiting a library, please contact ASSIST on 03 9209 6777 to discuss delivery options.
In the meantime, we have started rolling out FOGO recycling to apartments and unit blocks that receive a Council waste collection.
Those with a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday service will receive their first FOGO bin collection in the week commencing 13 November. And those on a Wednesday and Friday collection will receive their service by mid-2024.
More Information
If you’re in a low-rise block (12 units or less) then we’ll deliver your caddy to your doorstep, if we can safely access your property.
Residents living in larger apartments and unit blocks can either:
- request FOGO caddies and liners be delivered to their building – via their owners corporation or building manager or
- collect a free kitchen caddy and complimentary roll of caddy liners from any of our five library branches (up to five caddies per person if you are collecting on behalf of other residents)
The owners corporation or apartment building managers can request a bulk delivery of caddies by contacting ASSIST (9209 6777), and asking to speak to the Waste Management Services team.
Due to storage constraints, we can only provide up to five caddies to individuals collecting them on behalf of other residents.
