Family movie night at Emerald Hill Library

Watch a teenage penguin, chase his surfing dreams in a tale of friendship, courage, and finding your own wave.

Thursday 23 January | 6 pm to 8 pm | Emerald Hill Library

Come on through to another feel-good family movie night at Emerald Hill Library with a special holiday screening of "Surfs Up".

Surf's Up

Follow Cody Maverick, a teenage rock hopper penguin from Shiverpool, Antarctica, as he chases his dream of winning the prestigious "Big Z Memorial Surf Off" on Pen Gu Island. Inspired by his childhood hero, the late surfing legend Big Z, Cody faces fierce competition from reigning champ Tank Evans.

Along the way, a chance meeting with Geek, a reclusive former surfer, teaches Cody that there’s more to surfing—and life—than winning. A heartwarming story about determination, friendship, and finding your own wave.
