Join our Duke Street Party, featuring summer vibes as part of the Balaclava Boogie Festival 2024.

The vibrant heart of Melbourne’s inner-city will once again host one of the city’s most exciting free music festivals, Balaclava Boogie, from November 22-24, 2024. For three blissful days the Carlisle Street Precinct will be alive with the sound of music, featuring performances across 8 venues, including our much-anticipated Duke Street Picnic Party at St Kilda Library and the festival’s epic Sunday Session.

Duke Street Picnic Party

Saturday 23 November | 1 pm to 4 pm | Duke St Lawn (Behind the St Kilda Library)

This year St Kilda Library is proud to host the much-anticipated outdoor Duke Street Picnic Party, a family-friendly event promising a delightful afternoon filled with live DJs and a variety of lawn games as part of the Balaclava Boogie Festival 2024. 

This event is happening at the rear of our St Kilda Library in our own little Duke St Park.

Kids can unleash their creativity with arts and crafts activities, including badge-making with our children’s librarians, face painting, and a jewellery-making workshop led by local designers.

Don’t forget to bring your picnic rug and good vibes! BYO Snacks and drinks (No alcohol please)

We can’t wait to see you there for a fun-filled day for the whole family.

About the Festival

The festival kicks off on Friday evening, November 22, with live music at various venues along Carlisle Street and nearby areas. Attendees can enjoy an array of incredible acts, with no gig clashes, including Better than Sex, Backyard Banjo Club, Tarantinos, Rod Paine & The Fulltime Lovers, and many more.
