Find out what dementia is, its causes, and its signs and symptoms – learn ways to reduce your risk.

Find out what dementia is, its causes, and its signs and symptoms. Learn ways to reduce your risk and where to go for support.

Almost 1 in 12 Australians over 65 have dementia. As we get older, this number increases. Dementia is not a normal part of ageing. Healthy habits such as physical activity, mental stimulation, a healthy diet and staying socially connected can help reduce risk and improve wellbeing.

Bolton Clarke's free Understanding Dementia session explains what dementia is, its causes, signs and symptoms, and ways to support brain health.

Following each session, Hearing Australia will provide a limited number of free 15-minute hearing checks. Recent research has shown that untreated hearing loss may be linked to cognitive decline and dementia.

Please note: Hearing checks are optional and must be booked separately from the information session.
