Sustainable Storytimes
About the session
Join environmental educator, Thom Fox for a hands-on Storytime and activity during regular Storytime sessions! You’ll explore what makes good compost, the actions we can take to look after our natural environment, and recycling food waste and home and in the library!
About the facilitator
Thom Fox is a teacher trained environmental educator and has been in the environmental education sector for 15 years. He has worked with kindergartens, primary and secondary schools as well as kindergartens across Victoria and Queensland.
His environmental journey has included education facilitation programs with Zoos Victoria, Melbourne Water, Phillip Island Nature Parks, Local Councils, CERES and his work was selected as a finalist in the Premier’s Sustainability Awards –Environmental Justice category.

FOGO Bins
After the session you can also talk to staff about our FOGO Bins. These bins are free for Port Phillip residents and help promote sustainable food waste at home.
Port Phillip Seed Library
You can also take home two packets of seeds for free from our Port Phillip Seed Library. These can be used to grow food or flowers and help young minds learn the importance of growing food at home.

Speak to staff about collecting a FOGO bin. Only available to Port Phillip Residents.
