One-on-one Device Advice
Need some help getting started with your new phone, laptop or tablet? Or just need some help navigating the latest apps?
Book in a 25-minute appointment and have your tech questions answered by our friendly team! Running weekly, these sessions can assist you with basic troubleshooting and navigation of your personal devices.
No question is too simple, from turning on your device for the first time, to setting up an email address or Facebook account.
Port Melbourne:
Mondays, 11 am to 11.25 am, 11.30 am to 11.55 am
Tuesdays, 2 pm to 2.25 pm, 2.30 pm to 2.55 pm
St Kilda:
Tuesdays, 2 pm to 2.25 pm, 2.30 pm to 2.55 pm
Wednesdays, 2 pm to 2.25 pm, 2.30 pm to 2.55 pm
Fridays, 2 pm to 2.25 pm and 2.30 pm to 2.55 pm.
Emerald Hill
Fridays, 2 pm to 2.25 pm, 2:30 pm to 3 pm

All bookings will become available on Mondays at 10 am the week before each session.
To ensure equity of access, patrons are restricted to one session per week. Choose your preferred time slot and fill out our short survey to secure your spot. If all sessions for next week are Sold Out, please try again the following week.

Preparing for your device advice session
To make the most of your 25-minute appointment, we recommend you come with a specific question or goal in mind.
If you would like more general assistance, or if you aren't sure where to start, you may prefer:

- Attending the weekly Digital Essentials Tech Help program held at the St Kilda Library Community Room.
Digital Essentials Tech Help
Learn to use your smartphone, laptop, tablet, for everyday on-line needs including connecting with family and friends, news, music and podcasts, making appointments, shopping, banking, and public transport planning.
These weekly two hour workshops are run by the Port Phillip Community Group (PPCG) on Wednesdays.

Build your digital skills, confidence and safety online with free learning content and computer classes that include topics such as:
- being safer while online
- talking to or seeing family and friends who live far away
- finding new friends who share interests and hobbies
- shopping and selling online, safely and securely.
