Middle Park Library Reopening

Here's your first look inside the newly refreshed Middle Park Library! Behind the scenes, our staff are hard at work restocking shelves and preparing the space as we count down to reopening day.
We are pleased to share that Middle Park Library will reopen on Thursday 9 July 2026, following a refresh over recent months.
This upgrade has been designed to improve how the community already uses the space and the result is a more accessible, flexible and welcoming local library that supports reading, learning and connection.
Supporting community connections
The refreshed space will continue to support partnerships with the Middle Park Toy Library, Civic Kindergarten and local Maternal and Child Health Nurses. Together, these services strengthen the library’s role as a connected and accessible community hub, bringing people and services together in one place.
This upgrade enhances the library’s role within the broader Middle Park Community Centre, supporting a wide range of local activities, services and opportunities for connection within this valued neighbourhood hub.
Our thanks
These works have been supported through $200,000 in funding from the Victorian Government’s Living Libraries Infrastructure Program, alongside matched Council investment.
We gratefully acknowledge the Victorian Government’s support through the Living Libraries Infrastructure Program.
This funding has enabled us to revitalise Middle Park Library, creating a more accessible, flexible and welcoming space for our community.
