Dr Linda Hamilton Author Talk: Pay It in Five

Tuesday 18 August | 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm | Emerald Hill Library
Does your home loan feel like it will take forever to pay off? Join author and educator Dr Linda Hamilton to learn why that happens and what you can do about it.
When Linda was preparing to buy her first home, she approached the loan as a maths problem. What she discovered was that many Australians do not fully understand how their mortgage works or how small choices can affect how long it takes to pay it off.
In this session, Linda shares key ideas from her book Pay It in Five, including a simple five step approach to help you plan, borrow and manage your home loan more effectively. Her focus is on helping people see how they can take control and potentially pay off their loan faster.
With over 20 years of experience in education and research, Linda is known for making complex topics easy to understand. She is also the creator of Money Shape Up, a platform designed to improve financial literacy for everyday Australians.
Whether you are buying your first home, already have a mortgage, or supporting someone through the process, this session will give you practical knowledge and a clearer path towards paying off your loan sooner.
The event is proudly presented by the Friends of Emerald Hill Library.
