It is that time of year again. Join us, along with millions of children, parents, teachers and library lovers across Australia, to celebrate literacy, imagination and connection through the joy of shared reading. The 2026 National Simultaneous Storytime feature book is Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller by Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, illustrated by Jake Minton.

This lively story follows Luna, a spirited young kangaroo, and her friends as they chase their football dreams across the outback. Filled with action, teamwork and plenty of fun, it is sure to inspire young readers. We invite you to join us at any of our library branches for this very special Storytime celebration.

Suitable for children aged 3 years and over. This is a free event and no bookings are required. The book will be read throughout the week as part of all our regular Storytime sessions.
