Local History Photography Competition: Your streets, your stories
Submissions are open from:
Monday 1 September at 9 am until Friday 31 October at midnight.
About the competition
At the Port Phillip Heritage Centre, we want to collect and display images that showcase our beautiful municipality and reflect your experience of being here. We welcome a diverse range of perspectives and want these to be kept for years to come, so future generations can see what you love about being in Port Phillip. Whether it is your favourite café, the beautiful foreshore, or a faded sign on the sign of a building, we want to celebrate it all and learn what it means to you.
Winners will be decided by a judging panel in early November, and a people’s choice winner will be decided in December.

There will be winners in three categories:
18 and over: $200 cash prize
People’s choice: $200 cash prize
Under 18: $200 cash prize - Teen Photography Workshop
The photos will be judged alongside your description of the image, so make it count and tell us what your submission means to you.
Please read the Terms and Conditions for full competition entry rules.

We have some great Ghost Signs around the city which shows the history of the buildings.

Images of local places, people and culture are also fantastic as they tell a story of what was happening at the time.
