About Liz Hicklin

Liz Hicklin is an author, poet, raconteur — and, at 95, a late-blooming comedy sensation. Proving that ageing is less about slowing down and more about stepping up, Liz launched her comedy career at 92.

A winner of the poetry slam at the Clunes Booktown Festival, Liz has also appeared on ABC Radio Melbourne and continues to delight audiences with her wit, candour and irrepressible charm.

Her influence reaches far beyond the stage. Rosie Batty and Jacinta Parsons have both cited Liz as reshaping their thinking about ageing

Liz Hicklin is living proof that it’s never too late to reinvent yourself, start a comedy career, win a poetry slam, travel the world or set new goals.

Her current ambition? A guest spot on The Graham Norton Show.

Two people standing close together outdoors, smiling at the camera. One wears patterned clothing with bright glasses, the other wears a dark textured outfit with light accessories. Both appear well dressed and confident. They stand on grass near a road with trees and open space behind them, photographed in soft natural light that gives the image a warm, welcoming feel.

Liz Hicklin and Jacinta Parsons are friends, authors and are sure to delight the audience with their inspiring views on life and writing.
