Donating Books to Rotary
Book Donations Welcome
Got books you no longer need? You can drop them off at our Albert Park and Port Melbourne Libraries.
What to donate?
Please don't drop off textbooks or encyclopedias as they frequently need to be recycled. Also please consider only donating books that you would purchase or give to a friend. If books are damaged, it's also best to recycle them directly.
Donated books are collected by Rotary, who carefully sort and sell them to raise funds for local charities and Albert Park College.
Please note: If you're donating a large number of books (especially in boxes), we kindly ask that you deliver them directly to:
Albert Park College reception.
83 Danks St, Albert Park.
This small gesture makes a big difference—helping our volunteers avoid heavy lifting and reducing the need for extra transport.
Thank you for supporting your community!
Through your donations, Rotary continues to promote literacy, education and community wellbeing—one book at a time.

About the Rotary Team
The Rotary Book Program has been making a difference in the community for over 23 years. It began at Albert Park Primary School, with the very first weekend sale raising more than $20,000. Since then, Rotary's second-hand book sales have raised over $850,000 to support local initiatives and literacy programs.
Supporting Literacy and Local Causes
Rotary has donated thousands of books to a range of important causes, including:
Reading Out of Poverty – a charity supporting early literacy for children in need
123 Read 2 Me – distributing books to young readers across Australia and overseas
Hope in a Suitcase – providing books for children entering foster care
Albert Park College – supplying textbooks to students in Vanuatu
Albert Park College also receives a percentage of book sale proceeds, which helps fund eBooks, literacy initiatives, and has contributed over $250,000 worth of books to the school library.

Our local Rotary volunteers are Jenny Grebler, Adrian Craig, Greig Mc Ewen and Ken Hall
