Apply now to join a Port Phillip Advisory Committee

We’re creating four Advisory Committees to help us make well-informed decisions for Port Phillip.
A large group of people stands together on a stage in a function room, posing for a group photo. They are dressed in a mix of business and smart‑casual clothing. The background shows a projection screen with the words “Welcome and Acknowledgment of Country”. The room features patterned carpet, round tables and a podium, creating a formal community or organisational event setting.

The photo is from a Community Panel that met in early 2025 to help shape the Plan for Port Phillip 2025–35.

Port Phillip Advisory Committees

We’re creating four Advisory Committees to help us make fair, inclusive and well-informed decisions for the Port Phillip community.

These committees will bring together people who live, work, study or volunteer locally and where relevant, representatives from community organisations. Members will meet up to eight times per year to share their ideas, experiences and advice to help guide Council’s work.

Everyone is welcome to apply, including people who have been on an advisory committee before. We value people of all cultures, identities, ages and abilities. All meetings and information will be accessible, and we can provide support to help you participate fully.

These groups help provide our libraries with valuable insights and information from our local communities. We rely on this information to help inform our decisions when preparing regular programs, services and support via our libraries.

There are four Advisory Groups for you to join, please use the link below to visit our HaveYourSay page for more information and to fill out the application form online.
