ANZAC Day approaches, and with it the prospect of introducing this national day to the very young in a way that’s meaningful and relevant for them.

Whether you have a historical fiction obsessed older child or you’re looking for a picture book to introduce the topic for the first time, our ANZAC Books for Children list has something for you.

ANZAC Day Services

On ANZAC Day, please take time to pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, and all those who have served in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.

In the lead‑up to and on ANZAC Day, a number of local commemorative services will be held across Port Phillip. Everyone is warmly encouraged to attend and support these community events.

St Kilda RSL ANZAC Commemoration and March

Elwood ANZAC Commemoration

Port Melbourne ANZAC Commemoration
⏱️ 10 am to 11 am, Saturday 25 April
📍 WWI Memorial, corner of Bay Street and Beach Street
