Thanks for coming!

We wanted to say a special thanks to everyone who helped us to celebrate St Kilda Public Library’s 50 year anniversary event. The library has had an extensive past and an exciting future ahead. On the day it was wonderful to see our communities brought together by the library.

St Kilda Library Then-and-Now Exhibition

Walk through time at this library exhibition and witness the 50-year evolution of the St Kilda Library with ceiling mounted photograph installations. Immerse yourself in the fascinating story of Port Phillip’s largest and busiest library through a digital presentation highlighting it’s journey through the decades.

Special Acknowledgements

We offer a heart felt thanks to former Cr and then-Mayor Ivan Trayling, who laid the foundation stone of the St Kilda Library. Former Mayor Trayling gave our guests a fascinating speech about his memories of working to get the library created.

We also wanted to say a big thanks to current Mayor Marcus Pearl, for his speech and to thank Deputy Mayor Tim Baxter, Councillor Katherine Copsey and former Mayor Dick Gross for their support on the day.
