Using the library for research

Using the library for research

Prepare –  Bring your homework questions, pen, paper and photocopying money (20c a page for black & white, $1 a page for colour).

Leave lots of time – If you leave it to the last minute, all the books might be on loan. Don’t fret! We still have online resources and reference books that you can use in the library - but giving yourself time to browse our shelves, search our catalogue, and reserve items will give you the best range of resources to choose from.

Ask yourself the question – Think about your topic before you start. What do you need to find out? Ask yourself the classic questions - Who? What? When? Where? How? and Why? - about your topic.

Never leave without asking for help – If you haven’t found what you are looking for just ask for help! Our staff are happy to give you a hand.
